Clean water, food and shelter for all, less violence and more love. More concerns and care for Mother Earth.

A world in which we are together as a one world community and as brother and sister in heart; where every living being may live joyfully and in peace; where essential needs are being met for all and where the wonder of all which is is reflected in all our hearts, thoughts and deeds. Thank you for this beautiful question. Wishing all a lovely and peaceful Sunday evening.

    A world where compassion replaces
Where work is given respect and value.
Where our worth is not measured in
    things but in deeds.
Where joy and kindness are our common

I imagine a house in which the whole world can live in.
A saintly leader who can milk the Earth. No excessive heat or cold, no droughts due to a shortage of sacrifices, no untimely death, and just happy citizens. One Holy Scripture. One mantra. One religion. One occupation that is of service to God, and that be-ing the only shortage in this world

This immediately made me think of the incredibly powerful poem “V’ahavta” by Aurora Levins Morales:
My better world exemplifies social and environmental justice. The air and water are clean, people have housing and food and a sense of purpose, our streets are no longer filled with violence (traffic violence included), we have shifted from a mindset of using and exploiting to one of caring and stewarding, we have recognized and lowered barriers of all kinds from the ones in people’s minds to the ones we have built into the world. All are free, all are loved, all are well.

Came back to add one more poem I just read that isn’t about the future I imagine; it’s about the ways in which we’re not working toward it right now: “Postscript” by Marie Howe

When I imagine a better world I see a community of human beings caring for and loving the earth and its inhabitants. Instead of investments in guns and bombs we use resources to cultivate healthy gardens where everyone can have access to good food and feel joy in living.

Peace for all – no wars/fighting
The pic in the Word for the Day made me think of zoos – free the animals from the zoos. I’m guilty of going to zoos and it makes me sad seeing them pacing in their cages and locked up for our viewing pleasure. Rescue.Rehab.Release. elephants/lions/tigers in circuses … ugh
Prayers and thoughts for the Tx mall shooting victims – I can’t keep track of all these mass shootings anymore, it is absolutely horrible and terrifying and nothing gets done about it.

That is a huge question- I agree with Kevin ..anything other than what is going on in the US. I know that it could be so much worse- but we have such a wonderful country; so full of opportunities and yet we have such discord and hatred among people. A better world would be everyone acccepting one another and everyone working together in one way or another for a better world. But it starts with one person…so I will try to be that person today and every day…a big proposal!! Wishing everyone a super Sunday…Blessings and Hope.
