I just watched the video for the new website. There was an opportunity to set an intention. Mine was “Acceptance and Presence”. That seems like an answer to the question.

By paying attention and by doing things that stretch different parts of me over the course of the day–body, mind, spirit, family, friends.

I’m doing it now. Satsang, church, getting online here! Looking at the leaves, folding the laundry, and drinking coffee. Breathing, being. Amen. Namaste.

All the answers are so inspiring! Thank you for giving me rest, for inspiring me to just be. Today I will rejoice in the gentle rain coming down right now, the fog in the mountains. To hear the laugh of my son and my husband having a conversation right now, makes me so happy. I will remember that laugh all day.

To me this question implies additions. I want to just live this day with heightened awareness of all around me.

By remaining present and observing, I can receive all that this day has to offer.

To live most fully today, I must reflect on who I am…my “authentic” self…who is that?? Also to be present in all that I do- and not look to what I need to do next…just let me be in the present. I looked out my living room back door…and my heart sang…What a beautiful place I live in…the leaves are a carpet on the woodland floor- the trees so majestic…some completely bare and others still holding on. The colors all around. Thanking God for another day…

Beautiful! I love you sharing about finding authentic self. What a gift! I am on the same path. I just retired in July of this year. What a journey! I need to find out who is the me, who I am before the world told me who to be. I am working in bringing my stress and anxiety down, so many patterns are set, now I have to find ways to undo so many of my ways of being. This site and all of you are helping me to center and breathe. I thank you!!

Ana Maria, you are on an adventure! Retirement brings about a whole different you. At times it is difficult and so many other times you are so inspired by this new life. I have been retired now for several years and still continue to question and look for who I am. You will slowly leave the anxieties behind and the stress should disapear…if you can just breathe. Indeed, it is a journey with so many new roads to go on!! God Bless…and so nice to hear from you. Thank You.

Staying in the present moments would help tremendously. Not thinking of what is next, or planning the next hours, but staying in the moment I am in would really help. I am always a work in progress…

By reflection. Today is my last day visiting my family up in Pa. My cousin’s wedding last night was so much fun. I feel blessed and grateful.

Staying in the present, being grateful for all I have received in life, loving kindness for my wife, acceptance of my aging self and continuing on with one more day of sobriety .

Onward, Joseph! Thank you for sharing that journey with us. It matters so much to you and to those around you. (Speaking from personal experience of a previous husband who wouldn’t acknowledge or work on it.)

First the need to recovering and taking a nap in order to be present and full of joy and gratitude for the given day and encounters with dear ones and with the world in all its possible forms. Deeply grateful for the kindred hearts and dear friends I was allowed to meet these days.
