WHAT ENERGIZES ME?
A few things… 🙂 here goes:
Anything w. nature (no buildings)
Showers/ Bubble baths
Making people laugh
Completing my Victory log
Winning after a long hard battle of countless failures and moments of complete loss of confidence where I seriously wondered if I could pull it off … I’m seriously someone who loves climbing mountains, the pain, the worrying you might die, the feeling your body can’t go on, the psychological battle of the lows … all that to finally get to that point where you are like, I can’t believe I actually did it. Like that total and complete giving it everything and feeling constantly that you are so close to giving up and having to fight for it then that moment you just do it finally after all that pain… I love it!! I love the challenge.
Time to myself to reflect
Moving my body
Engaging in meaningful relationship
There are lots of energies. In the sense of an energising well-being, meditation, breath work, somatic movement. For an energy boost, walking, humour, caffeine, a deadline.
Going for a huge run, usually energises me or being around happy fun loving people always brings me into a new energy.
Because I am near the middle for extrovert and introvert, opposite ends of the spectrum often energize me:
– hiking/taking a quiet walk in nature
– reading a good book
– being with people at celebrations or having a chat with a friend
– playing with animals or children
– playing sports
– a nap in midday
– reading a letter from a friend
– a sound nights sleep
The first shoots of spring
A wagging tail
The full moon
Wandering through an antique market
Being in the presence of some people – even bringing them to mind
The first glass of water when I rise.
Being outside on the beach, foothills or woods with friends or mate on an adventure.
Learning and growing in wisdom, as well as asking deep questions and seeking answers, energizes me.
Helping others. And, the occasional shot of caffeine or adrenaline
a half ounce of 72% dark chocolate can energize me and remove touches of gloom. Guittard is our fancy local brand 🍫 🍫
Good good news is very energizing!!
My yoga practice, walking amongst the giant Redwoods, my quiet time with Source, this site, poetry, music, listening to the birds, coffee ………❤️
Brunch with my besties. I love our deep conversations and nonstop laughter.
Walking in the woods. A project. Helping someone. Making delicious and healthy food (and then taking part in eating it, too!). Taking a hike with my small grandkids and watching them find ‘treasures.’ And as many have said: morning coffee. Hello, beautiful!
The “Pulse” IN the Pulse of Life. iow ‘The Holy Spirit’.
There is almost boundless Life – Light Energy in multiple forms throughout the Universe but that which is delivered by the beat of the heart, the inhaling of air ( piraña ) and through very molecule in the body etc etc …. is the often ignored and/or forgotten BASIC delivery system of Etheric Vitality ( aka “daily bread” ) .
The Trinity and Life lived is out of alignment without the balancing power delivered by the Holy Spirit.
Being surrounded by my grandchildren.
Maybe I forgot to hit a”dd my voice”, but my list has not materialized(that word is so out of place on the internet!) here…my apologies if I end up with two….
And it gave me time to reflect a bit more…..so what energizes me most is time alone. Solitude. It really. does and is #1 on my list. Then my family, most of the time. Certain friends, and since the pandemic, I have started evaluating the ones that don’t and can be draining. And that gives me energy.
A new project. Most music. The changing of the seasons! I love fall, most times winter, spring, and summer if it is not so hot. Horses. Dogs! Veterinarian shows. So many things! They energize me and bring me such joy! I am adding coffee and tea.
🧡💛💚 You list energizes me! I’m sitting in the heat and humidity today, so it is hard to even think of energy… but you reminded me of some favorite things for me, too, and it puts a smile on my face.
Ooo! I hear thunder now… cross your fingers! 😀
Coffee, the sun and moon, and music:)
Going for a brisk walk or my 40 k bike rides., practicing/playing my guitar… I feel so much better after
Moving my body energizes me. Whether it’s a run, bike ride or just a quick dance in the kitchen with my children, the movement gets my energy level up!
The visit of my beloved sister, sharing a delicious meal, baking a delicious cake and share it with others, sharing joy, dancing, singing, when I am able to just be.
Autumn in the Midwest. Time in the woods and at the lake. A task fully completed and checked off my list. My family gathered together. Music. (In no particular order.)
Yes to all. You reminded me of how Autumn is in the Midwest, and I do miss it! Thank you for the memory….
Making plans energizes me – trips, menus, birthday parties, goal setting, reunions, anything really – I just love researching, organizing, scheduling, pulling it altogether. Also leading Bible study – partly some of the same reason, but then seeing the light go on for people, seeing lives connect with the Spirit. Interacting with youth and and children energizes – but now it’s mostly watching, listening and playing board games with them. Cooler weather energizes me – hot humid where I am now is draining.
My first thought is the sun and then letting go. Letting go energizes me!
Goals. Almost any goal will do. It seems having something to aim for is the ingredient that consistently motivates me. The bigger the goal, the more of a stretch the better. Vagueness in this area is not helpful. A number of some kind, something measurable and manifested in the world (like a house). The challenges can energize me, and yet they are not always goals and the energy is sometimes more akin to anxiety. In facing challenges though I can make incremental goals which help manage that and allow me to proceed and strategize. This is the way I engage the world and others most comfortably.
Hope. Love. God. Music. Nature. Exercise. Meditation. Coffee!
Working with children
Being with our grandchildren
Being on the water with my rowing team
Being at the ocean
Seeing the Spirit at work in people
Sunrise. Any sunrise
Bach, Brahms, Mozart, Paul Simon. I have dvd with a concert from Tina Turner in 2000. When I look at that dvd, I receive a lot of energy.
Being in a forest, staring at the sea. Smelling gras, flowers.
Happy memories: a lot
Books: Biographies from spiritual man and women.
