The rain, the trees budding, first light.
Am looking at a bottle, the brown glass olive oil kind, seeing the light from the window reflecting at different points and the subtle mapping of room to its curves. If this were a painted still life I would marvel at it. But it’s the real thing. If not for this question I would not have appreciated this beauty in my daily gaze. Thank you.
The solitude, if I have the courage to embrace it.
The view from where I sit at my laptop, out the doors to my balcony and its plants and the sky
How I stumbled upon this site at the end of a work day. How uplifting it feels. How blessed I feel to be part of a community of caring individuals from around the world who have come together based on shared values. This moment of random, serendipitous discovery – it is beautiful right here, right now.
Hi! I remember how grateful I was when I stumbled across this website myself. It’s a great place, and I welcome you, too 🙂
Welcome! Gotta love serendipity.
Spring! The smell of the lilacs, the chamomile starts, the tomatoes dutifully growing in my window. I’m finding it so easy to see beauty right now.
Some dear friends arriving today again after a long absence. One of the friends is currently busy picking them up, and we bought some food and fruits, prepared a welcome soup and put the lights on to make them feel coming home in the middle of the night. Beautiful to know they are with us again!
Wonderful, Ose – enjoy!
I am SO grateful for my health, my life an my career. I am a high school teacher and SO HAPPY to be back to hybrid but face-2-face learning with my beautiful students. It brings me so much joy! I AM BLESSED! 🙂
This wonderful weather we are having and all of flowering plants blooming.
The fact that I can start a new semester in college! I love school!
The ability to work with and create with my hands.
What are you making, Don?
I restore and preserve antique furniture. Such a joy to work with the master creators from another time.
I love old furniture, too! This summer I am going to replace the seats on two Danish chairs that used to be my father’s.. I wish I knew more about restoring wood finishes, too. The wood on the chairs is in good shape, but I have a couple of dressers that could use some care.
What a wonderful skill you have, Don.
Walking my puppy through the oak forest and hearing the delightful songs of so many birds.
The thought of getting some blueberry coffee
