That I am loved, no matter what, and that I respond to this humbling gift with gratitude, kindness, and love to His Grace.

Show up as best I can. Pay attention with kindness, compassion, patience and forgiveness. Do and be the best I can. Practice open mindedness, open heartedness, gratitude and generosity. Let go of results …

That at the core of my happiness is a vital energy that I am able to cultivate. It is an invigoration of my very life energy and has little to do with what happens in the material world.

Diabetes is like suddenly having to learn to walk a tight rope.

    1. Holly in Ohio

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that. I have a friend recently diagnosed with diabetes and also an old friend who has had it for decades. The beginning can be very frustrating, but it will get better as you learn about yourself; and your doctor can help you figure out how to stabilize. Hang in there. It’s like learning a new skill. The rope will eventually feel like a road!

Understand that you can’t be good at everything and know your limits. I excel at parts of my job, but I’m hopelessly terrible when it comes to time management. I’ve tried and failed many times to change this and am frustrated and disappointed in myself.

Stay active. It is easy to stay in and not do my walks when the weather is cold and rainy. But I need to keep moving, so I commit to that today wherever I can do it.

Me too, Linda. Glad you mentioned this… because of it, I will go once around the block right now. It’s not much, but it’s something! Thank you.

My daughter has just been diagnosed with COVID 19. I’m reminded of a quote from Eckhart Tolle, “Life is the Dancer and You are the Dance”. I will do my best today to let Life dance me gracefully and not fearfully.

My lesson today is to take one more step. The journey is often very long, and sometimes it may seem we do not have the strength, wisdom, or time to complete it. Taking one more step is an act of faith.

You could say we are on many paths, many journeys at the same time. I’m on a journey to lower my carbon footprint. I’m on a journey to be more kind and helpful to my family and really anyone around me. I’m on a journey to fulfil my own happiness and give love to myself.

Just one step, for each, today. That’s my lesson. 🙂

My lesson for today and every day is that there is an amazing wisdom at work in the world and in my life which we could call God, universal consciousness or whatever term you identify with. All I know is that I have been upheld time it again.

I could not get out of bed until almost 8 am. I had a restless night perhaps because I had a cup of decaf coffee around 9 pm, or perhaps because I tried to push myself hard to finish one more thing last night. Either way I will be kind to myself and let the chips fall where they may.

Appreciate that people communicate differently, and try not to judge certain communication styles as “wrong” just because i find it challenging. Not everyone has taken communication skills training. Not every bird sounds the same. Appreciate the amazing gift of communication in all its forms.

Not sure why, but this quote immediately came to mind when I read the question.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

Life’s lesson for me today is that challenges and difficulties happen because Life and the Divine is trying to get me to re-evaluate my life and change direction towards something that is better for me. I need to dig deep and identify what I need to change. I pray for guidance so I can look beyond the immediate problem and fix the deeper issues that cause the problem.

With all the negativity floating around, it is time more than ever to focus on the good, on the things that I have, smile and stay present rather than living in the realm of « what if’s ». I can’t control everything going around me, but I can control my thoughts which in turn make my life joyful and grateful.

Thus far, I got up, the dog went out to pee and went back up to bed. Coffee’s brewing, I know it’s Wednesday five past four. Now what’s the question?

Life has taught me that on certain days some questions don’t need to be pounced up. Sometimes it’s better to slowly sneak up on them, or not answer them at all.

Honor the past – ALL of it. That lesson has been coming to mind a good bit recently, which lets me know that I still have some work to do (always!), but I feel like some more forgiveness and gratitude will help release me from the thoughts that keep trying to creep in. I sometimes have to remind myself that they creep in for a reason…

Completion and the resulting closure are important. Otherwise the lingering tendrils of energy can start to cause a bit of drag, and the more you have the more resistance to push against and the more energy required to get through my day. Yesterday’s writing revealed a particularly stale set of attachments I really hadn’t realized were there. The resultant sketch was powerful, so that was valuable.

Yes indeed. When I lived abroad I was in regular contact with some Sisters of Mercy (of Mother Theresa’s group) and one of THE most important signs of a vocation were a good sense of humor.

Fabulous. Yes, I’ve worked with them in Sri Lanka, and we all did a laughter program together in each home, they loved it…as did their clients…
