I was going to not-procrastinate, but that didn’t happen, so after procrastinating for a while, I gave myself a hug and pointed out that I was doing fine and had never missed a deadline, as best as I could remember. That was new 🙂

The day itself. This day is unique in all history. What a privilege and opportunity it is to experience it.

To open up to overcome fear, to say when something fearful comes to mind, of where inside I feel it is something I have to and want to let go of, to say “Yes, if there is something I may contribute of whatever would be of service for the well being of all, I am willing and get to do so. Thank you dearly for this kind invitation to be part of the joint venture”. 🙏💗 And if I may, add that I apologize for the patience of others I had to stress to finally arrive to this. 🙏Thank you deeply for your not giving up on me. 🙇

I had lessons for many years in singing old Indian Dhrupadstyle. Today i will start learning a new Raag, which is called Darbari Kanada. So let me tune my Tanpura and start…

Im struggling to think of something new to try today. I’ll be working and doing the things that I always try to do. I will be thinking of a workmate who passed this week. I didn’t know him well, but we did spend a day together when I was training. His stories of his life were fantastic. He was such Cool dude. He was very tall and thin, had a gold loop in each ear, and he wore a thin colorful scarf. He looked like a retired rock star or a very elegant pirate. This life is short and not guaranteed. I will dedicate today to him.

Right now, I am trying a time management technique where, for 15 minutes everyday, I do household tasks (laundry, room cleaning, etc.). That way, I am not procrastinating because “It’s gonna take 2 hours!” but I’m also doing something.

I could try to think of something new to try and get out of the rut. Doing the familiar is so comfortable (and mostly stunting growth).

see how many thoughts I have today are a result of conditioning to accept that these social constructs only exist to serve a privilege or benefit for some at the expense of the well being of another…. The challenge– how can I remember to be mindful of this?

This is a great one and definitely a challenge to figure out how to notice and track. The more I learn about the various “isms” the better I get at noticing my own response that might be arising from sizeism, for example. And yet I know I’m missing a great deal that’s culturally based in particular. Maybe we all need the eyes and ears and curiosity of a child for a day or two!

As a matter of fact, I am trying something new today. I am going to a local charter school and teach 51(!!!) students in 4th and 5th grade how to plant a plant in a raised bed. It will be chaotic, noisy, and wonderful. And it will be a blessing for me, as I haven’t done anything like this in years, and never 51 kids!
