The ‘Memorial of Jesus Christ’.
I GATHER in the present moment by thinking quietly and sequentially about the Gravity pulling on my body, about the Air coming in and out of my lungs, about relaxing the Tension in my muscles, about the Heartbeat or pulse I feel in my body, the Environment around me now, and the Relationships the tie me to others like a gossamer web. I spend the time for two or three breaths for each focus.
Meditation in the morning
Prayer, meditation, lighting candles, reflection, john o’donohue readings
Intentional breathing practice; truly experiencing the light, crisp Spring wind in the trees and on my face.
Practicing reducing, reusing, and recycling; reflecting on my personal and collective dharma; practicing channeling my desires to serve the needs of others; practicing gratitude; practicing wu-wei and the “emptying of the mind” to become more open; following my roles in society; singing; reading the Bible; prayer; looking at patterns in life events to discern God’s will; studying the development of UFO and alien mythologies and experiences; acting in theater; running; watching films and finding spiritual meaning in them; Samhain rituals; practicing the Golden Rule; recognizing the interdependence of everything in the universe; purifying physical space to be more energetically open; practicing radical non-violence; and divination are all rituals that connect me with the sacred.
Sitting in solititude, listening to the winds, the leaves on the trees, the birds and creatures in the woods…all taking their time and place in this world
Sitting in meditation and contemplation with the Word For the Day & reading responses to the question set the tone of my day. Looking out my window & observing the blueness of the sky, the different hues of green places me with the Sacred. Thank you all. ???
Talking stick; SGC church every Sunday now we are even doing it remotely. Last week we also did communion remotely. Sacred fires.
My daily prayer of :
“Save me from the bondage of self.”
Prayer, time outside in nature.
Watching the sunset, touching an ancient oak tree trunk and sending grateful love through my hands. Feeling the response.
Holding my guinea pigs? And seeing some bit of beauty outdoors – wet bark on a tree, not long ago.
