My grandparents, my friends and my s/o. Hugging people you love is one of the nicest feelings and it makes me feel so comfortable and safe. I love hugs and can’t wait to be aloud.
My parents, my in laws, my friends. To not be afraid to hug them, will be wonderful to overcome. I know I need hugs. My brain and heart have ached over this past year and longed for these moments soon to come.
I’m not much of a hugger. But I’m looking forward to not having to put six feet and a mask between myself and my wife’s sister’s family when we’re in their kitchen, doing dishes after a nicely hosted dinner.
I can’t wait to visit and hug my friends from college! I wasn’t able to go to Nebraska last year because of the pandemic, but I really hope I get a chance to do so this year.
My elderly parents and my best friend. It’s been way too long!
my children and grand children
Every and anyone who would like a hug. It’s a part of my job description, and I have a deficit so big it will take an entire lifetime to catch up. CAN’T WAIT!
My students, co-workers and friends!
As a tiny minority, dare I say, I have been happy not hugging! I am quite shy and reserved and find it hard to hug/touch a lot of people (parents and husband excepted!) But I don’t have grandchildren and my answer might have been very different if I did have!
My son, his wife, my grandchildren all my bothers and sister-in-laws and my nieces and nephews, the new babies in the family. My dear friends. How my heart aches for them and human touch.
My Mom, My Dad, My Nephew and Niece. And My Friends.
My mom and dad . I haven’t seen them for over a year because I live in Norway and their in the USA. I miss them and it hurts my heart.
Louise Douglas Nathan John Beth Tony Connie Dave Matt K Shuang Peter Ruby Mark Robert Taylor Nicole James Matt Steve Mary Takeshi Idrysen Christina Sam Rick Candace Linda James H, other James H , Jackie, Barb, Sue, everyone I’m forgetting at the moment and anyone under the age of 7…. oh, let’s just include everyone!!!!
Family, friends, difficult people in my life (if/when they are ready), and whoever needs a hug (which is probably everyone). What a wonderful way to start a ripple of blessing.
True story about hugs starting ripples. My wife was in the hospital one day recovering from massive cancer surgery and just transferred to a chair when her surgeon walked in. She spontaneously stood up and gave him a hug before he told her to sit down due to the pain it caused her. After a brief medical update conversation, he left and after a few minutes the attending nurse walks in the room. She asked if Dr. W was her doctor and she said yes and asked, “why do you ask?” She said that she had worked with Dr. W for 25 years and that was the first time he EVER gave me a hug.
Ripples my dear friends!!
WHO ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO HUG WHEN THE PANDEMIC END?
I am excited to see people interacting and having fun with each other,!!! I went to my first bar since Feb 2020, it was fun to see people connecting and laughing. When quarantine has settled down I am excited to hug my DAD, MOM, BIG SISTER, LIL SIS X3, BROTHER, FAV AUNT, CUZS My TWIN Flame, MY TRAVELING Family!.I have been blessed to be around my immediate family last year and came to Ohio to focus on my business. I focus Sundays on catching my family & close friend up by facce-timing them.
A lot of my other family members I have brief communication with and am excited to see them as well.
My TWIN FLAME- The Universe is pulling our energies and desires to each other, until the day we meet again.
My family, my friends, everyone!
I will look forwarding to hugging my grandmother, mother and step father as well as my brother. My dad passed away a year ago but I know that through God we will be reunited and I once again will hug him and laugh with him.
My dear neighbour. I think she is an angel. Since my husband died in 2019, she gives me so much comfort an unconditional friendship. When quarantaine ends I give her a big big hug.
My family. When I see them which even without the pandemic is very rare. My sister if she or I travel. I don’t have any friends left. Due to letting go of people places and things I have had to let people go. I do hope to meet some new friends. Loneliness and isolation and this pandemic has put me in a position of perspective. I do have love in my heart but not for abusers. I have had to let go of people in order to start over. I hope that starting over brings new hope. I will value whomever I get to hug, but I will be selective.
I have to laugh because when I first read the question (maybe not fully awake yet or I need new glasses?), I thought it said “Who are some of the people you are excited to BUG when quarantine ends?” And you know what? Even thinking about getting back together with the people we sometimes BUG and they bug us — even that makes me happy!
The truth is, I have not stopped hugging. There are some hugs I miss getting from those who do not want to hug at all. Those people are some friends and coworkers. And we will hug again when everyone feels comfortable doing so.
But I have kept myself safe, and those who I’ve hugged have done so as well.
I hug my fiance daily. Thank God for him because I know the value of human touch and need it daily.
I have hugged family when we’ve seen each other. I have not stopped hugging my parents, who I only see about once every other month. An uncle died last fall, and I hugged my aunt at his funeral as well as my cousins.
The few friends I’ve seen outside of work have been hugged unless they did not want one. The friend who will be performing our wedding ceremony, our photographer (a surf buddy of mine), and other surf buddies seen at the beach. I have hugged them all.
I trust myself and those willing to share a hug. I am healthy & strong, and I respect others’ boundaries. I also fully protect myself in public. I look forward to seeing people hug without reservation!
Easy to answer, yet such a long list. Grandsons first !
If they would allow, all people, as it really would be such a relief, so happy to turn around again the signals into friendship and trust, expression of and congruent with our all true connection. I felt already like this when the shops opened again this Monday, only I did not dare, but when speaking to the unknown woman next to me, we had a short and happy conversation which we probably would not have had otherwise, and left with happily wishing each other a beautiful day.To be allowed to hug my dear friends again and all who are close to me is something really to look forward to. This simple gesture of friendship is so precious and those who painfully have experienced its missing probably will not taking it for granted ever again.
My Grandchildren, Logan,Ethan Emma,Hunter all my new and old friends.
My kids! My one daughter is visiting me in 3 weeks and I cannot wait. I haven’t seen her in over a year. I’m starting to plan some mini vacations finally and looking forward to seeing family again.
The list is endless…..I adore physical touch & know its benefits, so….starting with my parents & working my way around the globe. Get in line🙂
Family, friends, strangers! But in the interim, I know I can always send loving energies their way.
Family and friends
There is a circle of friends, too long to list. There’s 4 great nephews all out state, that I look forward to seeing. I’ve now become unknown to them because of inability of traveling to see them. My immediate neighbors are on my list too. We’ve all grown closer during this “non busy” time. I look forward to giving broad smiles w/out masks in grocery stores & I know that will take time. 😃
While I appreciate everyone’s individual desires and levels of comfort, I did not stop hugging people.
I hug my Meals on Wheels clients. (Those I have a relationship close enough to do this with). I hug my family. Yesterday I saw a family friend at the gym and she hugged me. She told me that my mother visited her in a dream a few nights ago. My mother passed away 15 years ago.
There is a balance between staying safe and preserving one’s humanity.
We are almost a year into this behavior modification exercise. With education, we can understand risks. We still have choice.
No, I do not want to become ill. It is a huge leap to be fearful that every person I see will transmit a virus to me. I am a super healthy, health-focused human.
My niece and nephew are visiting this weekend and there will be hugs. It is their 4th and 8th birthdays. I rented a marquee to display their names. I cannot wait to see their faces later today.
There is an illness circulating. It has been awful for some people. Bless them. Life also goes on.
Have a wonderful day. Smile.
Todays question makes me smile!
I cannot wait to be able to hug any one of our seven grandchildren, and to be able to hug them without reservation or concern that one of us might be transmitting that nasty little Coronavirus.
We have very different responses but we both used the same word: SMILE❢ 🙂
The act of thinking about hugs made me smile. I am going to remember this for the future…maybe even later this morning.
I hope that you receive some hugs ASAP.
