An unknown kind and warmhearted, friendly man sitting in a church, who stood up and was talking together with my dear friend in front of me about the angels “flying” in the church which she loves so much, telling us they were saved during WWII. It was a deeply touching moment all together.

A good tradesman can be hard to find. This one came in when he said he would, did the job well, and had reasonable rates. And on top of which he had a pleasant attitude.

My students this year are a cache of gems. Very unique personalities and deep thinkers. They may have gaps from the pandemic but they are an awesome collection of human beings. I definitely feel blessed.

A hidden gem I rediscovered is my roommate. We were talking and I was talking about some of my struggles that have come up recently and she was there listening but also encouraging me. I was grateful for what she had to say.

It is mainly a solitary devotional path, so opportunities are not abundant, but the Divine always shows up with every passing encounter – even for those who try really hard to cover it up!

I assist some refugees families with their food shopping. One lady in particular is a ‘hidden gem’ with her attitude and appreciation of the help she receives. She is so delightful!

A friend in the Lounge. Also, a woman I met at the last condo Halloween party – 2019. She’s a busy woman, but we ran into each other again recently and are meeting for coffee this morn!

All people are inherently gems, infinitely precious. It is common for many to hide that preciousness, sometimes even from themselves, with arrogance, resentment, impatience, anger, deceit, and generally turning in – their brilliance is indeed hidden from many.

Her name is Rita. Lovely woman!
She organized a group of volunteers in order to help a little girl, who is being treated for leukemia. We worked together during last September.

The meditation instructors that I met in Stockholm online are amazing! They are there helping at all times with everything. I am so grateful to have this meditation method!

Two years ago I made a friend in the garden where I was the Lead Gardener. She came to volunteer. My friend lives in Texas and is there now, but her children attend the college here. The “hidden gems” I have met recently are her children. They live off campus and I have been letting them contribute to my compost piles, so one or both of them arrive every couple of days with compost, and sometimes we have conversations about plants or bees or whatever. I received a text this week with a canning question from Eliza, which led to a conversation yesterday and I did a little research and sent her some links. It is so hopeful to me to see youth who are, on their own, dedicated to reducing waste, and who would bother to make their own canned applesauce! They are gems because they are our future. It makes me hopeful for our planet.

I think some ‘hidden gems’ are my co workers. I am almost at my one year work anniversary – hard to believe it’s been a year already. I work with some awesome people and great mentors:)
This website has many ‘hidden gems’. I’m grateful for having found this site.

Like others have mentioned, pandemic restrictions have limited my meeting opportunities. I have a group I consistently interact with online. There’ve been some “bright stars” there who’s boxes have shined.

I knew her for the past year, as she works in another department in my store, but only about two months ago did I realize she was a hidden gem. Her name is Andrea, and I credit her for turning a light bulb on in my head. Her department was part of Grocery, but they decided to split it into it’s own dept, and rightfully so since supplements and other health & wellness goods require a specialized knowledge. With the splitting of the depts, Whole Body was going to need a Team Leader. She came to me and told me she wanted me to be the TL there, and while I knew that was going to be an open position, I had not thought about it being the position for ME. It all made sense, as my background is retail health & wellness. So I applied, did the due diligence, interviewed last week and was offered the job! I’m moving over and up, and I’m so excited and grateful for it! And this may not have happened at all were it not for Andrea. I’ve started getting to know her, and she’s such a bright light. A hidden gem for sure that is no longer hidden in my world 🙂

Due to covid, having the opportunity to meet a hidden gem in person has been difficult over the past while. I must say though that meeting people through mediums such as Gratefulness. .Org has allowed me to see things in a different perspective through their daily submissions. I consider everyone as gems who provide hope, self- .reflection aand support.

A hidden gem came back into my life over the weekend. A small care company that had been providing me with twice daily home visits suddenly went under last week leaving me and 3 other clients with no care at all. Social Services could only offer me a place in a care home. I have been looked after in my own home for 19 years and am mostly bedbound but I want to keep my independence.
On Friday I had a call from a manager who was the manager of a company I was with years ago offering to take on my care. She came to see me yesterday and my care is set up as from today! She now runs her own company, a very good and secure business, so I know I will be safe with her in charge.
Thank you Kevin for your prayers 😊

A Great Dane named Cole….a “gentle giant” who is kind, caring, protective and provides unconditional love always. Definitely a “hidden gem” with a human soul.

Yes Great Danes are marvellous animals. We owned two at separate times. Their description as « Gentle Giants » is appropriate.

I have been writing a Gardening Tips article during the season for a Colorado Master Gardener with CSU Extension letter that goes out once a week, and this past season, because of surgeries, I have had to get some help. One of the women that helped out is a real gem. Joanne is always on time with her articles, and does her research. I don’t have to correct a thing! She has been a real help this past season, and she is willing to continue to help next year. It is really nice to have someone to collaborate with. A real hidden gem!

Recently? No one, actually. With Covid still blazing about, I’ve kept close to the circle of friends and family within my usual orbit. However, I am blessed with so-called “hidden gems” whom have been in my life for many years and counting.

Exactly, I am in Melbourne, world’s longest lockdown. I manage through programs I create online, through emails, messages, etc. But it is NOT the same as in real life. And as with you, so many incredible people in my life throughout the years. Some are still alive, and we remain very close. I am blessed. It’s enough.

Yesterday there was a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Sufism in a town nearby. I was asked to let a young student from Iran ride with me. She was invited to play an Iranian musical instrument, the “Santur”. It turned out that she only lives 1 minute away from me. We had to drive an hour to the other city.
The hour flew by. Our conversation was so beautiful and intense.
She made impressively beautiful music on her santur during the celebration.
On the way back we were so happy that we could talk again for an hour. We also agreed that we would like to try the combination of santur and piano. And…… she also wants to make Iranian meals for me.
Yesterday was a very special day because of this encounter with a beautiful soul.💕

Thank you Mary Pat. Yesterday, there was the language of the soul, the language of music and, we both not native english speakers, understood each other very good in the english language.
