Joe Primo: I would love for you to speak about the importance of finding and being part of a spiritual community. Of course, that’s what you’ve founded with Grateful Living, is a community to do that work. So let’s talk about how that sustains us as we are navigating our way through life.

Br. David Steindl-Rast: We can’t overestimate the power of community to support us. And as you rightly say, that’s what Grateful Living has been founded for, to give online support for offline living, and ideally, for offline communities. There are many, many communities in the world that gather together, and with the support of our websites in many different languages, they meet maybe once a month, maybe once a week, and they tell one another where they have difficulties with living gratefully, where they have joy in living gratefully. They’re supporting one another. To find one of those supportive communities is really the most important thing.
