Brother David, happy birthday. I’m grateful. Every aspect of my life has improved as a result of my increased awareness of the practice of thankfulness, and I think this has contributed to the universe’s wonderful energy. You are unquestionably evidence of the impact that one individual can have. May you continue to be blessed!🌸 https://playfyhd.app/
When I heard that Dan Fogelberg had died in 2007
I visited his web site,
as I was quite surprised.
I loved his music,
but did not keep up with his personal life,
as it was not something I did,
especially before I became more internet savvy.
I read about his death from prostate cancer,
and noticed a link
if anyone wanted to light a candle to honor his memory.
That is how I found Gratefulness,
and became acquainted with Brother David’s work and mission,
including the forums
and candle sanctuary.
Since then
his work has expanded and grown
so that it’s not unusual
to find an interview with him on the radio or YouTube.
It is because of Gratefulness
that I have found a home for my thoughts and my beliefs,
as have met many others
who are seeking to find peace through gratitude . . .
the people I’ve ‘met’ through him
are as close to my heart
as the earth people in my life.
I now have several of his books,
and know by heart
his video blessing of ‘A Grateful Day’.
(simply because I’ve listened to it so often.)
A second one has been made in the last few years,
but I am more connected to the first one,
which was less processed.
To think that Brother David is still here,
working on the mission,
is an amazing thing to me
and I am so very grateful
that he has touched my Life
with love . . . ♥
Many years ago, I listened to a CD talk Br. David gave about gratefulness. That talk led me to this site. I landed on the daily question and this community has enriched my life. It has taught me to choose gratitude until I was grateful. As today’ quote from Br. David says, ” “We have thousands of opportunities every day to be grateful…There’s opportunity upon opportunity to be grateful;THAT’S WHAT LIFE IS.” Thank you and blessingS to you always and all ways Br. David and to the members of your staff.
Brother David’s teachings have made me realize how blessed I am. There are blessings all around me. I have so much to be thankful for.
Having an “attitude of gratitude” is good health for me. 🙏🏻
Thank you Brother David for your love & selflessness.
Love & Blessings to You. ❤️✨🙏🏻
Happy 100th Birthday.🥳

Well, what a beautiful thing to wake up to.
Happy Birthday Br. David!
Wow! 100yrs old. Well done.
This site and Br. David’s philosophy found me at a crucial moment in my life. I’m sure this is true for many of us. I’m so glad I was wide open and raw enough to embrace what he has put out in the universe. This practice has helped to add balance to my very unbalanced life.
I will send a note of thanks to my friend who innocently sent me a Word For The Day.
That simple gesture, helped change my life.
You just never know what impact you are having in the world.
Br. David’s impact has been felt around the world. What a gift. It goes to show how impactful kindness can be.
