Be kind to everyone I encounter; reach hands, look into the eyes of the ones I encounter, smile, and wish them a good day, loud or silent, from my heart.
I had today off and joined a chair yoga class at a beautiful old Congregational church in the town next door. I met the instructor at an event at the local library and also met someone else there from that library. It was a very friendly small group and we shared some wellness ideas and learned about the full moon. The church bell music was playing outside at one point. I love that. I find it very peaceful.
I planted flowers and put bark in the backyard so that it would look nice for everyone to enjoy. I also got some windchimes and I think it makes it sound absolutely beautiful outside. It sounds so peaceful with the flowers and all the budding trees. I also had my Neighbour over and asked her if she wanted to come and have coffee and ice cream and she did. I think that made her happy. And I’m really happy to say that Simba, my Dog, started on a new medication and now he no longer has to wear the cone or the socks that I had to put on his leg to protect him from licking his front legs. Which means it’s working yay! I’m so happy for Simba that makes everybody smile because nobody wanted to see him be put down because of this awful allergy..
Your plantings,
dear Antoinette,
sound so lovely . . .
I too,
love windchimes and have one,
and recently purchased a rain chain.
What a treat for your neighbors to enjoy . . .
peacefully.
I am also happy to hear
that Simba is doing well. ♥.
I’m not feeling well today. But perhaps a smile on my own face will improve my attitude and bring some joy and peace to my life, if not someone else’s.
Today I intend to practice mindfulness and bring awareness and peace to my day. Taking intentional breaths helps remind me of the present and calms my mind. This helps me create peace in interactions with those around me.
I have made plans with friends and will hostess a group of ten women this evening and smile the entire way through even though I currently have a lot of responsibilities that need my attention.
Thich Naht Hanh teaches that a smile is the simplest form of meditation. I will remember that as I journey through this day and I will smile often…even in the mirror!
Right now, i’m in the heart of old Seattle in Pioneer Square. Walking through here, I will see both very successful people doing well in this economy and people who are very much down on their luck. I can give each and every one of them eye contact and a smile.
As I participate in six back to back meetings before taking the train home I can give full attention to each person in front of me. That creates an oasis of attention, which can bring peace. I just need to remember to take a few minutes for breath between meetings to give myself peace.

It is small, yet this is what I could do today to create a little peace in my small world. When I talk, I talk about peace. When I share a post on social media, I share motivations from people who are doing work that aims for peace. Most of all, I pray for peace. 🕊
My Ngoc, you and Angela are a couple people I just tagged on my recent tribute this morning titled “LT1192 Individualized Impowerment Foundation” concerning my advocacy for the people on my boat. I haven’t lost track of that. It’s a matter of moving the needle slowly.

Does anyone know where to view the monthly poem? Is it exclusive to email newsletter subscribers?
If you go to Explore from the menu at the top and search on Poetry you’ll find a large collection.
Yes but not the poem emailed to me yesterday for May from grateful.org titled Tea. Only for email subscribers?

That is great news about Simba!
So happy for Simba!
Glad Simba is feeling better, Antoinette.

I hope you feel better Katrina.
I hope,
dear Katrina,
that you are feeling better
tomorrow. ♥
I can smile and say thank you, and I can just be kind in general. I can also be less judgmental of others and myself.
I think
that perhaps,
dear Charlie,
you are like this
EVERY day. ♥

Props to you for holding your attention for six entire meetings, whew.
Sounds exhausting on the noggin.

Sing in the car. I’m a more peaceful driver when I do that.
Drea, I’ll join you! Let me know which tune and I’ll add harmony! 🙂 have a great day.
Carla, today I’m rocking “16 Tons” and “Son of a Preacher Man”!
Thank you both for being peaceful and therefore safer drivers!
I do my best, Barb. As a driver and a cyclist, I see both sides of things. Cyclists are way at a disadvantage, unfortunately.
Just show up with intention. To use the name of the person I know or be helped by a name tag.
Just stay the course.
