Grateful Grief — On Demand Frequently Asked Questions

Is this course for me?

This course is for anyone interested in exploring the relationship between grief and gratefulness.  Whether you are grieving or supporting others in their grief, you are welcome.

Will this course make me sad?

We recognize that each person will experience a range of emotions, including sadness, as we explore what grateful living teaches us about the complexities and mysteries of our grief. The course will also nurture your capacity to experience joy alongside sorrow.

Note: Grateful Grief is not designed to serve as therapy or a grief support group. We encourage you to seek the advice of a qualified mental health professional should the need arise.

Where is the course taking place?

This is a self-guided course. You will have access to all course materials for one year after the date of your registration. Each of the six sessions includes a video of the session’s primary teachings and guest speaker, along with a rich collection of resources including essays, poetry, music, guided reflections, and more to deepen your learning.

Can I move through the course at my own pace?

Absolutely. We encourage you to navigate the course in the way that works best for you.

Are there ways to engage and share reflections with other participants?

While there is not a dedicated reflection space for our self-guided courses, you will have access to our online community platform where you can connect with others around the globe who are living gratefully.

How long will I have access to the course materials?

Course materials will be available for one year from the date of registration.
