Practice gratitude. Make note of the things for which you are grateful: your breath, your beating heart, the particular shade of the sky at dusk or dawn, colors, the gifts and strengths you have, other people in your life, the ability to laugh. Be on the lookout for gratitude that may arise from unexpected sources. Say, “Thank you,” aloud or to yourself often.
Can you feel grateful for something that you might not have noticed as gratitude-worthy before?
Should you be inspired, please leave a reflection below…

I am so grateful for the opportunity each day to practice gratitude. I do not live with anyone so spending so much time alone has revealed myself to me. That is a double edged sword. I thought I was a good person. I have some real monsters inside. So I am grateful for the opportunity to change long established thought patterns. God have mercy on me.
Gratefulness= What a gorgeous word in itself. Of course, since the lockdown and even as restrictions are starting ever so slowly to relax a bit, I am grateful to be here during this time. To walk in my yard, and have deep, rich, meaniful conversations with my sons, to check on each other, to really talk and listen to my life partner of almost 50 years, to fill the air with joy that we have this time now to change things for the better. For paying attention-
We care for our a pack of rescue dogs and help our children out with their dogs, And, I must say the dogs the cats show us every day how they love us, they are in the moment every day when they are playing, they play, resting they rest, eating they eat. And yes, when they are angry or upset they shakie it off, I am ever so grateful for angels in disguise with four feet, It’s a blessing being part of their lives.
I write a gratitude journal every day and each day is different. We continue as a family to take care of one another, do what we can for our neighbors, I am mindful that even though this is hard work, not seeing our family hearing their voices every day checking on each other, these are all gifts along with health, water, food, shelter, sunshine, moonlight, stars, Its a wake up call from Mother Earth if you will reminding us of how lucky we are to be here at this time to be part of this extraordinary event that will no doubt lead us into a gentler way of life, even as turmoil is taking place all around us, we can all send & do our best to stand up for what is right, just, and fair. Gratfeulness is part of the process, as each and every one of us make up this beautiful Earth. To feel gratitude for each other and the gifts that each of us brings to our Earth.
I am greatful for my two besties, my children that I love more than anything in the world and I am greatful for the program that helped me to finally attain sobriety and am now greatful for 3 yrs clean and sober!
So proud of you, Sarah! I can only imagine what this journey has been for you. Because of your courage and discipline, you have affected not only yourself, your children, but all the people they will also come in contact with in their wonderful lives. I hope you affirm yourself more than once a day.
I wasn’t feeling too grateful when I realized this was to be the last day of our collective journey. But even so, I’ll give thanks for these last days and the insightful thoughts shared by everyone. Blessings to all.
Luckily, we have enough opportunities here to keep you engaged with gratefulness for a lifetime, Gracie! Stay close. You can always reflect on the daily question here: https://gratefulness.org/practice/practice-space/
I am grateful for the word no. I want what I want when I want it. But being told no, when I reflect and consider, is sometimes the best answer. I am thankful for delayed gratification.
I am having a difficult relational time with a colleague in work, however rather than getting down about it, I‘m aiming to build personal confidence and resilience through being grateful that I can live and learn from this experience.

I am grateful even for my hardships I am grateful
Every day when I go for a neighborhood walk I take my camera and look for beauty. Sometimes I photograph magnolia blossoms or lilies or iris — which are indeed beautiful. But I am also enamored with dandelions whose yellow faces smile up at me from the edges of my neighbor’s yards. Such an ordinary plant — a weed? a flower? I have gathered small bouquets of them to put on the window sill above my sink. They are so cheerful and a reminder of a time several years ago when my daughter and granddaughters were visiting. The 4 year old picked a small bouquet of dandelions and gave them to her mother. Her 6 year old sister commented: “Don’t give those old weeds to Mom!” My daughter and i assured the 4 year old that weeds can indeed be beautiful! I have been grateful for dandelions ever since.
I am thankful for this seven day adventure with all of you. Sometimes when I would start I would feel empty of things to share. Yet, as I would scroll down this page your comments would drag out content from my soul. For this journey I send my gratitude to all of you and to gratefulness.org.
I marvel, this morning, at the central aspect of breath.
Water and food we can do without for a while
but breath, we can do without for only a few minutes and
all the other systems of the body revolve around it.
I feel such gratitude for this breath.
I try to maintain Suzuki’s zen mind, beginner’s mind, seeing a bird, a breeze, a rain or sunlight as a new experience. These things don’t happen twice the same. I am grateful for the experiences.
The mysterious sense of God brought about by an an early foggy morning reflection.
Having learned to be grateful has completely transformed my life. I owe much of that to this site. I have come to realize that everything is a blessing, a gift, it is all for our highest good. I thank God for this wonderful world and this wonderful life. I say thank-you from my heart to The Gratefulness Team and everyone at gratefulness.org.
Peace and love to all ????
Memorial Day truly felt like the first day of summer this year. I am grateful for that, for my mind and my ability to think critically, and also for my loved ones, who have been so integral to my success and happiness in life. I am also grateful for the opportunity to do this 7-day reflection, as thanks again! ❤️
