Practice gratitude. Make note of the things for which you are grateful: your breath, your beating heart, the particular shade of the sky at dusk or dawn, colors, the gifts and strengths you have, other people in your life, the ability to laugh. Be on the lookout for gratitude that may arise from unexpected sources. Say, “Thank you,” aloud or to yourself often.
Can you feel grateful for something that you might not have noticed as gratitude-worthy before?
Should you be inspired, please leave a reflection below…
Enjoy the full seven-day The Little Things practice.
during this lockup and personal problems I seem to have lost my Joy in God and most everything,, so the other day, whilst doing a necessary walk, I felt a lift, I “saw” the light on the trees etc.. so wonderful
That was how I felt yesterday, as though the mundane “waiting” period had suddenly ended. God bless! In gratefulness. ?
Christopher-A resounding yes! I had double knee replacement surgery back in January, and was put on a “lockdown” to avoid post surgical infection (have a friend who went thru it, and had to repeat his surgery, so I took no chances). No sooner was I released from that lockdown, did our Coronavirus Lockdown begin. I’d not seen my kids, grands, or siblings in four + months! This was our weekend to “Socially Distance” and, albeit several feet away, be together. I am filled with gratitude daily, however this….!!!!!!!! No Words. We know how to approach this successfully, now. I am so grateful for FaceTime and Zoom, a true Godsend, however…..”THIS!!!!” Ever Grateful!
Hello Mermy! I am sorry to hear about your double knee surgery, and am glad that you’ve been able to gradually transition back into seeing your family! I think this stuff has been particularly hard on the grandparents and the kids, who love seeing each other regularly. And yes. Thank God for Zoom and FaceTime! Huzzah! To your future good health!
