Anthony Chavez

Anthony Chavez served as Br. David Steindl-Rast’s travel assistant and companion for seven years on his international tours over four continents, spending time with Br. David’s contemporaries, from His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Thich Nhat Hanh. Anthony subsequently served on the Board of Directors of A Network for Grateful Living and now works with Education Trust—West, which advocates for educational justice and the high academic achievement of all California students, particularly those of color and those living in poverty.
