About the author

Recently retired from teaching courses focusing on black writers – Black Male Writers, based on an anthology 150 black male authors, and Novels by African American Women (Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Zora Neale Hurston and others) at Cornell University, Beverly Blacksher is a grateful grandmother, meditator, writer and celebrant of Kwanzaa. Beverly enjoys her family, bicycling, yoga, swimming, her monthly book club, dancing, traveling, and playing the flute. She lives in Florida with her husband, Salik, in an active retirement community.
