I care deeply about humanity. I am working towards providing programs and platforms that help people in business and life to feel like they can thrive and step into their own potential to create abundance in all its forms in their lives. The more whole and conscious our society is, the more joy, love and connection we can create. Gratitude invites abundance.

The communities of interest that make a difference – like this one. I got back home last night from a week on the road with my thoughts (and dog). I spent a few days on a remote farm, swung a pick, got my hands in the soil, tended cows, planted trees, gazed at an incredible night sky in the darkest nights I have experienced in a long time, prayed in solitude and talked to the local community in the closest town about 20 kilometers away about their daily cares and concerns and reflected upon what I can contribute. There are deep and important connections to be had in the communities in which we walk.

I care about my fellow people and it hurts me when others are hurting. So usually possibly helping others is helping me also, giving rise to hope for all.

I always seem to do things the hard way and then feel overwhelmed. I would like to do better which would help both my husband and myself.

Getting older seems to bring more problems to try to figure out how to solve or at least make better taking even more time.

My mother in law said, β€œOld age is not for sissies.”

The daily newspapers are full of strife and thriving what we need is one saintly leader just common folks, but amongst ourselves none is saintly this is a problem.

My own health and that of my husband. This is a good reminder to think of “thriving” as the goal and not mere maintenance.
Our yard and garden, where we’re expanding our spaces for growing food and looking ahead to other changes.
Friendships and closeness to family members.
My team at work, which is growing as we add people and will need shepherding and stewarding to stay close-knit and collaborative.
My community; a friend of mine and I are talking about establishing an advocacy group for safer streets for all.
    Our planet.

This reminded me of an old blog post of mine about why the 4-H pledge makes a great organizer for thinking about service to one’s self and to others. http://biketoworkbarb.blogspot.com/2011/02/head-heart-hands-and-health.html

Everything belongs. Life lives on life. May we all say “Yes” to life and help each other thrive.

“Always say β€œyes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say β€œyes” to life β€” and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”

I have mostly turned inwards these days
and I am attempting to nurture my own
    spirit. Supporting, encouraging, and
growing with my wife, is also a big part
of what I do to help nurture another.
And then there are my friends out there,
that I check in on and offer support to.
I’m not sure who benefits more
from this, them or me. 😁

First, myself! My immediate family. Children especially those who struggle with school and self esteem issues. Last but not least the hungry and hurting.

Myself. I have not always taken the best care. I have not always cared for myself. I have begun to take better care of and love what is me……..good and the not so good. Everything on earth is impermanent but I have been given one more day, today to continue to thrive and evolve.
