My mind is on supporting my son and my daughter this week. Both have big challenges (one work and the other health) which can be exhausting in different ways but rewarding. I mentioned to my son over the week that his sister would love to hear from him more and she told me he txt her. That made my day!
if falling asleep in time at night is to be considered a daily task, this could be done by me with much more appreciation and intention, besides taking the other side of the coin, on being fully awake and aware, for example during meditation. Balance and equanimity. Wishing all a sound sleep and a day full of joy and happiness.
Well how about tomorrow…There are routines or disciplines that I do daily- such as prayer, silence, meditation, etc. that since I practice daily can become routine and I don’t approach those times and the relationship with the appreciation and attention that I could.
So tomorrow I will keep this post in mind and consciously bring a more focused attentiveness and gratefulness into my practice.💕
I could actually slow down while sweeping 🧹 the kitchen, pause take in the moment, breathe, look around and down! Be grateful I am standing here at this moment in my beautiful 🏠. Just maybe I won’t complain about my back aching if I just take a pause! 😉
I can do home cleaning and organizing tasks with gratefulness for the comforts and conveniences of my home.
I am thinking also about getting myself ready to leave my house. Showering, getting dressed, fixing my hair and applying sunscreen can all be done with love and appreciation for my body.
I want to thank you all for the good wishes for my husband’s transition to rehab. It seems like it is a place for healing of body and mind. The environment is bright and the staff competent and cheerful.
I am working on the rest for myself part. I hope not to overload myself with my expectations. A friend said .. be a loving wife and not the main caregiver. Let others do their job.
Your friend is wise.
I’m so happy that you like the rehab center.
You so deserve a break, Yram.
I hope you will be able to give yourself rest and relaxation.
♥️♥️♥️
Every task I do today will have to be approached with intention. I am in a very vulnerable state of distraction and need to be aware of safety. My plate is very full of chores I usually don’t do.
I will keep you in my heart,
dear Yram . . .
it will take time to adjust to your husband being in rehab.
Be kind to yourself
and don’t try to do too much
until you are comfortable. ♥
My daily walk…I will take the walk intent on noticing nature and with deep appreciation for the fact that I can walk without aid. There was a time in my life when that would not have been true.
I have it in my mind that I have to “power out” exercise, like the dog’s walk and swimming at the lap pool. Instead, I can approach those tasks with intention by noticing the mobility of my body and the dog’s body, and appreciating the cool water in the pool, and my breath.
Ya know, this is a great question.
I will try to be calmer and have more appreciation while driving to and from a job today. It’s about an hour each way through some of the busiest roads in America.
Yesterday, I became very agitated a few times with other drivers.
Today I will attempt to keep things in perspective
and let calmness guide me. And, I’ll try to keep in mind how lucky I am to have work, and a car that functions, and that I am able to do these things at all.
I experienced a bit of agitation myself Charlie on my drive through Albuquerque yesterday. Enter on the north side and go all the way through on I-25 to the south side, where the airport is. Midday traffic heading south and 5:00 pm traffic coming home. I have a feeling if you live in Albuquerque you are asked to disable your blinkers before getting behind the wheel!
I am grateful for it all … today is my 56th birthday 🙂 I am off the rest of the week and Monday too… day started off great with no alarm and getting to sleep in. Taking my cat for a vet check up, I have a wonderful English High Tea planned later with my daughter, then treating myself to a relaxing massage this evening.
I am grateful for this site, all of you who make it awesome, real, lifting each other up. https://nationaltoday.com/today/
I will appreciate cute baby sea cows today too- https://nationaltoday.com/today/
Happy birthday Michele!
As I sit here drinking my morning cup of hot tea, I’m thinking about how wonderful a high tea would be. I will have to look into going to one myself! Enjoy!!!
I have a meeting today about potentially reorganizing the structure of my program and other community-oriented holistic programs in our health care system. I came up with the idea of creating a hub to integrate these programs over two years ago and it’s been like turning a barge–one millimeter at a time. The idea is finally coming to fruition. We can help our clients and patients to access great free high-quality services. We can increase our visibility. I will be fully present and fully grateful in the meeting this morning.

One task does not come to mind @ this time. I will try to remain aware, present, as I go about my day & maintain an attitude of gratitude for all. 🕊️🩷
