I will light a candle on this website in remembrance of Veterans Day – I am grateful to have the day off.
Thank you to all the men and women who serve our Country and for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. You will not be forgotten.
Going out to spend time in nature. During my hikes, I like to look at things that catch my eye, then get closer and get a better look. 99% of the time, I see something I didn’t notice before. Little bugs on a leaf, new buds sprouting near the creek. The act of paying close attention allows me to cherish the beauty that is happening all around, I simply need to look closer.
Each day is special…and today I thank my God and Mother Earth for the gift of rain. We have not had rain in over a month. Our creeks and lakes and streams have run dry. Yesterday, we received some good rain for many hours..A true Blessing. As Joseph says..”Water is Life”. I am thankful for all the men and women who have given their life and their time for the freedom of people like me. I will give this day the respect that each day should recieve.
Simply to be with each moment. Notice the amazing life and opportunities that will show up today. My three sisters arrive today and we’ll be together for a couple days. This is such a cherishable “moment”. We are cut from the same cloth in many ways, and yet our lives have unfolded in very different ways, as lives do. I want to soak up every moment with these precious women. Laugh, and learn, and love.
Hello Mary, I am wishing you and your sisters a wonderful and memorable time together. Nothing is better than being with your loved ones. Have fun, enjoy and love each other!!
Pause. By bringing that principle into my action. Consciously choosing to pause, look up, give thanks. Not asking too much of myself right now. Noticing how, well, blessed I am to have been given a life that allows me to slow down, not spend so much energy and attention DOING and just be.
Thank you Deann!! I realize that I have Cardiac rehab with several veterans…and I will say Thank you to all of them this morning. They are all good men and have given much for their country.
Awareness, acceptance, peace. love, compassion, and presence of this day. Just any other day. Today. All are extraordinary, if I just open my eyes and heart. Namaste.
I can cherish the day by noticing the abundance of gifts it offers, such as this quiet time in the morning, the beautiful sunrise I’m about to witness on the way to a job that enables me to buy food, shelter and transportation, and the many kindnesses that seem to come my way.

I will cherish today as another gift from God. As I go about my day, I will be mindful of God’s presence..

I can say thank you to all the men and women and their families that have served our nation. We may be broken but we are free to say it out loud.
So true!
