After Hurricane Milton, one of my best friends sent me a Jackery Solar Generator (one of the smaller ones). It was very thoughtful of her and totally unexpected. I appreciate having it now very much.

After I had completed my 160 hours of community service in “18” at the La Jara (Pop. 800) Senior Citizen Center. I did many projects for the center. The largest of which was painting the front of the building facing Main Street. The mayor of La Jara presented me with a $50 gift certificate to a farm supply store. The gesture was very kind. I purchased a pair of work gloves and an ergonomic yellow snow shovel. Still using it too.

Every time someone looks at me and smiles like they are happy.

Following up on Carol Ann and Barb’s comment,
it’s amazing how much that act of connection,
smiling at a stranger, can affect a person’s sense of well being,
Both the well being of the person smiling,
and the person receiving the smile.
When someone smiles at me, for no other reason than their kindness,
it makes me feel so good, cared about, and wished well.
Such a small gesture is not really so small.
Smiling at a stranger is a powerful act of connection.

Why not make it a conscious choice!♥️

Smiling at someone is definitely an act of kindness, Carol Ann. It makes such a difference in the day for both people.
