My deepest passion is about Love, about helping others heal, about stillness, about the connective in life, including unfolding to integrity. I also would like to, hope to inspire others.
I am passionate about helping others in need, sharing my wisdom of life. I am also very passionate about traveling. My son gained this gene from me. He is currently in Costa Rica! I am jealous but love all his photos.
I am also passionate about anything Irish, especially the music. I am passionate about sailing, biking, hiking and cross country skiing.
I am passionate about spending time with family and friends.
I’ve been passionate about so many things in my life . . .
boys when I was very young, 🙂
artistic ventures . . .
anything that I tried to do or create,
cooking,
baking,
tasting life,
saving birds and squirrels,
found wounded on the roadsides,
animals and insects,
collecting stones and seashells and feathers,
thanks to my mother’s encouragement.
In the sixth grade
my desire
was to be a missionary,
but since I am no longer a subscriber to any organized religion
I have found ways to exercise my passions in the world in which I live.
As I’ve gotten older
my passions veer more towards the altruistic.
I spent much of my adult life
working with the elderly,
and later,
with developmentally challenged adults,
seeing to their health and well-being.
I’ve been increasingly concerned with our planet
and with social justice,
but am not a get-out-there-and-demonstrate kind of a girl.
Timid by nature,
and too old now to stand or march for hours,
I write letters and sign petitions,
and donate to causes I can afford to support,
To keep from becoming overwhelmed
I try to be a good steward to my little piece of land
and all who dwell therein . . .
at least I can see results here.
What’s happening in the world
breaks my heart . . .
I can’t ignore it,
but offering kindness and compassion
helps to soften the blow. ♥
Sparrow, that is great that you are writing letters, signing petitions, and donating to causes you can afford to support. I recently watched a video titled “What Can We Do? The Top 10 Most Effective Nonviolent Actions to Meet this Moment” ( https://www.youtube.com/live/BwGPs3KO48o ) and two actions that stood out to me as things that I could do from my home were:
#5, “Affirm those who Stand up” — “Make a practice of personally, publicly, and persistently affirming those who take a stand for democracy and justice.” They talked about how much people who take those risks need encouragement, and how this breaks silence and signals to others that a wider group supports their actions. They gave the example of all the people (I was one of them!) who sent letters to Bishop Budde to thank her for her courageous sermon.
Also, I have sometimes felt cynical about #6, “Counter Misinformation”, but they talked about the reasons why it is important. Also that it is “Less about winning an argument and more about consistently putting it out there, what the correct information is”
It sounds like you have done much in your life to live with passion and help people and other living beings!
Thank you,
dear Elizabeth,
for posting this webinar
I too,
am so grateful
when I see brave people standing up . . .
they give me hope.
I will look more closely at the video
when I have a little more time. ♥
Just to let you know,
I spent some time this afternoon
lying in the grass,
doing nothing at all . . .
just feeling the warm sun
and the breeze upon my face . . .
with no guilt,
I might add. 🙂
(in reference to the Question a few days ago)
Hello everyone, I missed you all! I’m finally back in MN from CA. My passion contributes to the happiness of my loved ones. Being a source of good laughs for others is one of my passions.
Love u, my Loc, for the many songs and poems that you composed for me about our love. I appreciate your love and the opportunity to spend time with my family. ❤
I’m passionate about learning. As I learn, I gain a bigger, clearer mental picture of whatever it is I seek to know. There’s something about taking pieces from all over and letting a picture surface that is both a passion and very satisfying.
Music, riding bikes, being in nature, and a few other interests along the way. I feel so fortunate to have had these things to keep me going and they have given me so much.
I am passionate about love, my husband and our dogs, helping people heal, and my studies. I can also add that I’m passionate about sky-gazing, mountain-gazing, and a really good meal shared with loved ones.
I didn’t knew that mountain gazing had a name, but I do gaze at mountains a lot. Then there’s ocean gazing, lake gazing, garden gazing … hmm, I like thinking about all the things to gaze at. Thanks for the inspiration.
I made mountain gazing up when I posted this morning! I wasn’t sure what to call it, but I love just looking at the mountains and connecting with their energy. Same goes for the ocean! And other nature stuff!!
“If you’re not now in touch with the mysterious majesty of life, look again. It’s just a mysterious as you thought it was as a child.” Br. Curtis Almquist
The Word of the Day and the beautifully wonderful picture that accompanies those words sums the daily questions reflection for me. Our, and all the beings that are sharing space with me and us on our temporary home, earth, is my passion. There was a few days old fawn hiding out in the tall meadow forage when I was cutting hay Saturday. The sound of the tractor and mowing machine brought him/her out of hiding. I waited until the baby being, cleared out. Life. Mysterious. Precious. Peace, love and may some mysterious majesty grace you today. This day we have been given. Namaste.
A bit after this post I went out to the dwindling river. A duck, variety unknown to me, was swimming along the south bank with her six downy ducklings. I am grateful for this day.
I too,
feel awe and reverence,
dear Joseph,
when I see wildlife in my yard . . .
right now
I have a large doe
and her brand new fawn
who have taken up visiting
once or twice a day. 🙂

Wonderful. I just finished gazing at the clouds and sun, shade and light amongst the cottonwoods and enjoyed the light breeze of evening.
It felt so good to do this,
I think I might do it again tomorrow,
dear Joseph . . . ♥
That sounds wonderful, Sparrow! ☀️
Thanks to a couple of you ladies,
dear Mary,
who urged me to do it. 🙂
🥰
I’m so glad to hear that you did exactly what you wanted to do, Sparrow!
I feel joyful that I could help.
Hello everyone, I missed you all! I’m finally back in MN from CA. My passion contributes to the happiness of my loved ones. Being a source of good laughs for others is one of my passions.
Welcome back, Ngoc! We have missed you too, and it is good to have you back.
Thank you so much, Elizabeth, for your welcoming words. Have a wonderful day 🙂

Thank you so much, Robin. Enjoy a beautiful day with your loved ones. 😍
Welcome back,
dear Ngoc . . .
we have missed your wisdom
and your kindness. ♥
Thank you so much, dear Sparrow, for your sweetheart. Have a day full of joy and peace. ☀
Welcome back, my Ngoc. These are good passions. I resignate with you on making people laugh, especially through my Vietnamese.
Love u, my Loc, for the many songs and poems that you composed for me about our love. I appreciate your love and the opportunity to spend time with my family. ❤

Drea, I’m with you on that. It’s helped me see the entire chestboard to design my life to my likings.
I am passionate about kindness. I love to be kind. I can see it lifts others up and it lifts me up as well.
That’s great, Mary. It all starts and ends with heart. Technique without heart is charm. Charm is harm.
♥️
My passion, right now is to grow gracefully into my age. I want to live a healthy balanced life as a care supporter in a complicated situation.
I’m passionate in: basketball, football, backstage politics, and restoring integrity.

Yes sky gazing!!!
So vast beyond anything we could ever see. I’ve always loved it!
Yes, SunnyPatti, like the ocean.

Just like the photo with today’s Daily Word! (minus a few ducklings)
Awe, how very special! I would love to see a photo of your neck of the woods. They should add that feature!

Yes! This moment is where we live!😊
