Waking up and stretching, feeling rested.
    That first hot coffee.
    My cat warming my lap.
    A hug from my sweetheart.
    A hot shower.
Looking at the trees that surround our neighborhood with all their colors, shapes and textures.

I cherish lots of quality time and communication with my loved ones and friends. I cherish nature and all four seasons for it’s uniqueness and beauty.

I learned some very sad news today. My very good friend in Ohio, her Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. We all spoke and I cried. Her Mom is a sweetheart and from Japan. I love my friend Karen, her Mom and her sister. We have been friends since my children were very young about 27 years. Please pray for my friend’s Mom and thank you 🙏💕

      I am so sorry,
      dear Robin Ann,
to hear of this sad news of someone you love so deeply.
      In our present state,
we cannot see the bigger picture,
      but I will hold you
and all who love Karen’s mother
      in my heart
with all of the loving kindness in me
      with love . . . ♥

      I am deeply sorry
for the turn of events for your friend’s mother,
      dear Robin Ann . . .
      my brother used to say
      (quite often)
that our lives can change on a dime,
and I am sure your friend and her mother
were profoundly shocked at this unfortunate news.
      As Ose has said,
      there is always hope . . .
there is also hope with acceptance
and you have time to strengthen your bonds,
which will always hold you up in dark times.

I hold you close in my heart . . .
      you,
      your friend,
      and her mother
and all who have loved her
as you enter this new path on your journey
      of love . . . ♥

So sad, dear Robin Ann, that your friend´s mom has been diagnosed with cancer. May your friend and all her family support her in offering care, warmth and also hope. There is always hope to overcome even such a disease. I will keep her and her family in my prayers, sending light. May God´s Love be with her and all her family.

Realizing that my life on this plane is not permanent,
    I treasure the little things,
    as they keep my grounded
and eliminate the ‘need’ for wanting . . .
I am most content with the little things,
    for as we all know
the little things are not little at all.

    A smile offered and returned,
    the trust and love of a non-human being . . .
    simple pleasures
    like rain on my face,
a flower blooming after all the others have gone to sleep for the winter,
a small spider feasting on fruit flies in my kitchen
    (sorry, fruit flies–
    I am not a Jain yet) . . .

I hug these every day happenings to my heart,
and cherish their imprint on my soul.
    The small miracles . . .
    what makes my heart beat,
    my lungs to breathe,
the sun to rise and set,
the sleep that comes when my body is tired,
the wonder that we all are worthy of love.

    All of these things
soften the blows of what is being done to our world,
    our planet and our people.
I seek them to make my joy more bearable,
while so many suffer at the hands and fists
of terrible intentions and desires . . .
    otherwise,
my heart would break wide open
    and my blood
would mix with the blood of the innocents.
    Bless them
if they can cherish the small things
in the midst of their suffering.
    I want to honor them
with my love of a flower. ♥

All of these are so wonderful, I am glad that you have picked these out to describe– I will try to pay more attention and appreciate these!

I’m not quite there yet with the spider, but truly insects are also part of the miracle of life, so I’d like to appreciate them more too 🙂

        Truth to tell,
        dear Elizabeth,
        I am afraid of spiders . . .
but I know where ‘my’ kitchen spider is,
        she is small,
and eats those pesky fruit flies.
        I’m pretty sure
she won’t come after me. 🙂

I just don’t like to be caught off guard.

        Truly,

For example meeting my dear friends for eating or cooking together like a few days ago, or the joy of singing, or reading your contributions here when sharing here at the Wftd, and of course meditation, the joy of speaking with my beloved sister, the sun rising when opening my window in the morning, then currently looking at the beauty of colorful autumn leaves. Buddha´s Love is everywhere. Thank you.

I cherish my mornings. Watching the morning sky during prayer, then time alone to enter into silence and finally the morning walks with hubby and pup to get iced coffee, where we sit and talk or just savor the coffee and our time together. I cherish these times that are carved out before life unwinds the busy path I follow.

My visit to this site and the sharing that I experience here. My daily walk and the animals, song birds, people I meet and greet in my neighborhood. A phone call to or from a friend. My mailman’ s smile. The ability to take a hot shower and thanksgiving for the fact my bathroom includes a shower as getting in and out of a tub would be extremely difficult and dangerous for me. My visits to the public library and the interesting and educational books I can check out at no cost for me. This is a good question that reminds me of all of the blessings I experience each day.

I cherish being in my home and having a home. I cherish my cats, one stretched out on the ottoman, another on the back of the sofa, another drinking water from a fountain, and the fourth must be in a window somewhere. I cherish having a kitchen and clean water where I have made my coffee. I cherish my life with reminders of all of it all around my home.
🌷My intention for today is to notice the beauty in all parts of my life.
Blessings and a beautiful day to all.
