How is this event making me better? When I answer that question, I am overwhelmed with bewilderment and gratitude. Who and why am I getting this free lesson and why me? they are thrown at me all day long and all I need to do is catch them.

How can I let go of everything to know Truth?
By being alive each day I’m able to have the amazing opportunity to let go of my- mind world which is false. This makes me immediately grateful!
No pain today and I was given the new migraine injection which I’ll be taking each month! Thank you universe! So grateful for your kindness. Thanks friends here for helping !

What sound do waves make as they crash on the shore? questions that require placing myself in locations or among people for whom I am eternally grateful, can turn my mood and intentions almost instantly.

Where do see hope today? Where have you seen beauty today? I also like Kevin’s post about thankfulness for the day and healing. Where have you seen or experienced healing today?

…as I go about my day, often I will ask myself what am I grateful for right now. I will usually do this if I am having a challenging moment!
…in the morning I write in my “five minute journal”, one of the prompts is ..”I am grateful for”… ( fill in the blanks)
…at the end of day as I review my day, I name 5 things I am grateful for from my day. My list is usually more than 5!
All these gratefulness practices are balm for my soul. I am truly blessed.

Is that a journal you created or one you bought call Five Minute Journal?

Hi Rabbit, it is The Five Minute Journal, gifted to me by my daughter. I believe you can find it at Target. I must tell you I write in it more than 5 minutes! It is lovely. I hope you can find it. Blessings to You❤️.

What questions reliably awaken a grateful perspective for me?

I don’t know that for me it’s always a question but sometimes it’s sayings that remind me to be grateful.

My son often says “Every day’s a good day, Mama.”

I remind myself that “What is IS”

As my mentor taught me, “There is a part of you that has never been afraid. You can always call it forth.”

I remember that “How is Now” and the strength I need is always available in the present moment

I leave you with a poem I wrote several years ago:

    As a journalist
    I was taught
    All the questions:
    WHO?
    WHAT?
    WHEN?
    WHERE and WHY?

    My gut tells me
    I am WHO
    WHAT is “What Is”
    WHEN is NOW
    WHERE is NOW HERE
    And WHY
is a waste of my energy

    For Belief
    is always a story –
    But it’s hell
    to be out there
    With No thing
    No story
    to cling to

    So BE here NOT there
    Near not far
    Give up finding the Way
    God is in the HOW
    that must be lived NOW
For this day is a gift
    A precious presence.

I agree that these questions are good starts for the day. I also try to end the day with what good things happened to you today. Will be adding Kevin’s chant idea of what healing things happened today.

When I feel overwhelmed I ask myself, where is the good that is happening right now? Where is the beauty? These questions remind me to notice the bounty of blessings all around me.

There are so many open ended questions the hat spark gratefulness. How can I serve more? What have I seen in nature that brought joy? All the practice questions orient me to gratefulness.

Yes, this website is a wonderful way to start each day and reminds me to ask myself “What blessings do I have in my life?” Even when I am feeling really down and need to honour my sadness or frustration that question helps to keep me grounded and keep things in perspective.

I echo Michele’s comment that the Daily question and this site in the morning helps to keep me grateful and grounded another day.
