I’ve been trying to think of something since I first came to this site about 4 hours ago. I’m particular about some things, but I don’t know if that makes me quirky.
Regardless, I hope everyone who celebrates Halloween has a fun and safe time! We don’t get trick-or-treaters at our house, but I hope to see some fun costumes while out and about today. I saw a princess earlier when I went to the post office, and she was the cutest little thing!
I love the color teal and adjacent colors like turquoise so much that about half my closet is clothing in those colors. Scarves, backpacks, wallet, hats, earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets too. I painted my office and bedroom two different shades In that blue range and then realized that much of the time, I would basically match my wall on a Teams or Zoom call and become a floating head, so I usually use a background image.
I’m also pretty fond of things in a coral or salmon shade, so that’s the other color that’s catching up on turquoise and teal.
I talk to my plants! I talk to my inside ones & to all my flowers in my garden. I also talk to the trees & hug & touch them when & where I can.
I also say good morning to Father Sun & at night I thank Grandma Moon for her light shining so magnificently.
Oh & I also talk to my car & thank her for her service!
Happy Halloween All… 🎃👻💀🎃

There are certain goofy phrases or word mis-pronunciations that run through my head, and the people that know me are certainly aware of them and are probably tired of me saying them. But I can’t help it. They’re stuck in my head, and it’s as if I am compelled. Just silly things from my childhood or whatever. But, even thinking about them makes me smile.
You remind me,
dear Charlie,
that my father too,
loved plays on words . . .
he would say something like,
“Pass the dog blossoms, silver plate.”
instead of ‘Pass the Cauliflower, please’
(collie flower) (s’il te plaît)
Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
My husband says I am a “calculated risk taker”. I find that to be hysterical and paradoxical. I am guardedly edgy. I am tactically provocative. He said it last night and I’ve chuckled about it all evening.
May be that saying thank you to my home or a room when coming in or leaving for having me in; and when coming back to where I feel I belong (nature at its best and all related), I bow towards the trees and thank them for their enormous support of all, their patience and standing tall, being a living example, or to my car for the safe journey. Of course not only to „things“ but also to living beings when sharing whatsoever is to be shared.
I have and use an entire list of “dad jokes”.
Roll your eyes if you must …
Q: Why do seagulls fly over the sea?
A: If they flew over the bay, they’d be called bagels.
See what I mean?
One of my coworkers starts and ends every meeting he facilitates with a dad joke. I sent him a whole list of bicycle jokes since we work in transportation, he was using other transportation jokes, and I head our division that focuses on bicycling, and walking. https://bobbinbikes.com/blogs/blog/the-best-bike-jokes
Kelly, years ago, my family moved to a town house in Golden Valley, MN, for a couple months. Ngoc and I needed a fan and heater in the same room. She hated the cold just like I hated the heat. Her side had a hand-held heater while mine had a hand-held fan.

I love anything nautical and have a collection of shells/coral/stones in my cubicle at work I found on the beach at various places.
I love to do cartwheels but never let anyone actually see me do a cartwheel…🤸
No one has seen this physical skill you possess Kelli Lynn? How interesting!
My offbeat sense of humor. Sometimes it hits, other times it’s just awkward, but I do appreciate that quirk.

I do tend to dance to my own drum but do not think of myself as quirky.
I too,
‘dance to my own drum’,
dear Carol . . .
always have
and don’t know how to do it
any other way. ♥

Grandma Moon is a shade more than half and is shining above the mostly bare cottonwoods right now PKR. And I will thank her!

Avril, I can relate as a GM taking calculated risks. I outsmart people in getting what I want. It requires both playing checkers and chest.

A: So the deaf can enjoy them too
That one made me chuckle out loud. Gonna pass that one along for sure. Thank you John.

A guy sees his mother in law riding a bicycle. “Where are you going?” he asks.
“To the cemetery,” she replies.
“So who’s going to return the bike?”
You’ll have to understand,
I am also watching ‘Six Feet Under’ . . .
thanks for the laugh,
dear Barb. 🙂
I 100% relate. 😁
After visiting a park or a body of water, I like to blow a kiss to her, thanking her for allowing me to be in this space.
So sweet Jenifer. I love this. ♥️
Sometimes when it’s chilly but crisp outside, I’ll drive with the windows down and the heat on full blast.
I love to sleep with a heated blanket and a fan!
