WHO HELPS ME FEEL CALM AND GROUNDED?
NATURE. When I am in nature it influences me to slow down and be present. I noticed being in a city environment activates my nervous; living the 9 to 5 lifestyle rewired my brain to be in stress and a fight/flight response. For the past 3 yrs I have traveled back at forth from a farm like lifestyle and NYC.
CREATOR- I have faith and hope in God.
MYSELF- It may be difficult for me to focus on my achievements when I am anxious however after breathing and relaxing myself I am able to use myself as an assistant to be calm and grounded. My confidence and trust is increasing daily because I am becoming accountable for my emotions and experiences. If I may say so…. I am doing a GREAT job 🙂
MY SISTER: Reminds me of my ways of caring for myself first and doing what I want. She reminds me of how strong I am and how independent I have become.
Me. Because I intentionally practice being grounded. Also all those teachers on the Internet and in person who have helped me do so. Finally and not least my dog. He stands there waiting for pets and I obey and that connection is present moment and exquisite
this may sound dumb but some of my favorite youtubers and twitch streamers. sometimes i feel stressed about school work for example and if i but on a video of them i can feel safe and become relaxed.
My favorite person in the world. My best friend and one true love.
Besides God, other people around me.
The universe and the present moment help me feel calm and grounded. When I let go I feel at peace and I trust the universe.
My beloved husband, who is calmer than me and doesn’t get as emotional as me! My mum who knows exactly how to help – always! My boss who is calm and practical and caring – luckily! My favourite authors. The priests in my church. And sometimes me! Sometimes I can use nature, music, a hot bath etc to calm and ground me.
Agape spiritual center
I don’t know, and reflecting, I am not sure about “calm and grounded” either. Years of solitude have led to being 100% responsible for the way I feel. Deep devotion has sent down deep tap roots for connection and awareness. Ha! Maybe I am not a calm and grounded person – just an old headbanger from the 70’s!
Today it has been myself, a seven hour car journey, which normally takes 4, gave me time to recoup and enjoy my own company, which I have missed recently. So me and my car 🙂
My guinea pig, when I bury my face in her fur – but it would be nice to have someone rub my shoulders and back, to make me feel like purring, as my guinea pig does when I rub her shoulders and back.
Sitting in nature; making it to the top of the mountain trail to sit and grasp the vistas; watching the trees sway in the wind in my garden flickering with sunlight;; reading words off a page that were written just for me; absorbing the chords and fluidity of music in meditation; being overwhelmed by a special sense of peace that only comes form the Creator Wisdom Keeper of the world.
My faith in a higher power.
Time spent with Mother Nature. Walking, breathing in the fresh air.
My yoga. Focusing on my breath.
Being back home after time away even if it was full of delights.
Right now I’m trying to use my breath and be more grounded, looking at my faith for strength and help
