    There are certain days
when the quality of light is a little different,
when the birds’ lilting songs are a little brighter,
and the last flowers of summer
bob their heads in the breeze more enthusiastically . . .
    or is it just me?

I’ll be going out to do my grocery shop
with a smile on my face
and music in my heart . . .
    the day calls for it
and I feel a sense of good will
    churning inside of me.
    It’s one of those mornings
where it’s easier to catch the eyes of people I cross paths with
and greet with a word or a nod of my head . . .
a spark of acknowledgement passes between us
    offering a moment’s blessing shared.
And others offer me the same . . .
    my little local world
    is a little happier
and people often offer me a smile or a word or a nod as well.
    For a day perhaps,
we are all on the same mystical wave length
    and are open to contact.
I don’t know if there is something in the air
    or if it’s just in me . . .
others feel it so it really can’t be
    just me.
    It’s something coming together . . .
    merging, intersecting
    in the Universe . . .
    the Great Divine.
    Namaste,
    everyone. ♥

My work involves helping Medicaid members have access to their plans. Today was very busy with many member accts needing to be fixed to get their prescriptions etc. Also, helping my team where needed.

Listen to the ones with me, being kind, offer help if needed and possible, offer a friendly smile or Hello to the ones i encounter while walking home soon after a busy day. Yesterday there was an opportunity to really help some kind friends in need and i took the chance through just giving my small piece of what i could offer to them unconditionally for to help them releasing stress. It was a very touching moment, as this came completely unexpected, out of the blue so to say, it happened almost spontaneously. It felt completely adequate and it made us all happy. May you enjoy this special time of the Beaver moon so close to our Mother Earth.

By being available and lending an ear, I think I am making a positive contribution to those around me. It’s not much, but it’s what I’ve got at this time.

well – I didn’t get to the cards I was going to write yesterday! – so I make no commitments for this day…. but before I signed in to this site I was thinking what a lovely day I am looking forward to having today – so I can hold that awareness and proceed from there, watching my thoughts and energy. Mainly, I want to say how pleasant it was to read today’s word for the day because of the concept of “a shared Heart” calling, and the “opportunity to make LASTING shifts…. in our world”. I just found that quite profound, and I loved thinking that time I may spend with the two generations younger than mine could possibly result in small – or even large! – lasting shifts. I LOVE spending time with my nieces and nephews and their children — best is one on one time — and I always hope that I can be offering a positive little tilt in their worlds… but this gave me a sense that it really can matter beyond the personal pleasure I take from it …. and to make more effort to get time with them. I always feel that they are “so busy” and that making time to spend with me is one more push for their crowded lives…. but maybe I’ll shift my perspective there, and step into this concept with a little more “Big Picture” hope. (And absolutely “Yes!!” to cookies and baking and gardens and hosts plants and little backyard worm farms. Who knows what impact we really have???? Thanks, Community. I”m doubling down!!!

Thank you for your post, dear Carol Ann, your perspective to make an impact and lasting shifts to the younger generation is touching me, from your heart offering your wisdom so that it may flow back into the circle of life and so nourishing our world. It inspires and it helps me not to get completely caught and almost lost by the many requirements and current exaggerated and imperative duties which need to be done these days also concerning my work. Thank you very much.

Tonight my improv troupe performs at our usual venue so I’m contributing laughter and entertainment.

When I take my walking breaks during the workday I’ll carry a bag to make it easy in case I encounter any litter I can clean up.

My city is still awaiting election results due to rank choice voting option. I will choose to not engage in the negative chatter at the office. I have my own anxiety about the outcome(s) as it affects my employment. I need to practice trusting Infinite God and not my finite self. Peaceful Wednesday to all ☮️

Oh, interesting! Ranked choice voting makes sense to me.

I checked election results for my city and most of the outcomes line up with my own votes. I also checked for the town where my sister works for the city manager because the outcome of the mayor’s race would affect her boss, and potentially her as well. I’m pretty sure the outcome is the one that she hoped for; waiting to hear back if I had the right candidate in mind. I sent her an encouraging text this morning.

I so wish you well, Carla. Please let us know? It would be stressful and bewildering for me to be in that situation…. I hope for the right and sensible and kind outcome for you and your city. carol ann.

Carla, it’s very tempting to do things our way, especially for those whose basic desire is autonomy. Our way isn’t always the right way.

To contribute to the well being of others, as well as my own wellbeing, I will be present with my energy throughout the day. Sometimes I get going faster than I would like. This includes thinking, moving, and talking. I will focus on serenity today, anchoring it with my breath. Sending peace to all.

Look my colleagues and students in the eye. See them, before I start my agenda. Life is too fast-paced . Take time even if just a few seconds.

And share photos of the full Beaver Moon with my students.
